I wanted to see if anyone has put these LX570 wheels on their 100. If you have, what size tire do you choose?

^ and ^^...I busted out laughing, thanks!

I had 275/55/20 and 305/50/20 on my Tundra 20's. (At different times, of course ;)

Do they keep spinning when you come to a stop or did ARACO disable that feature for the US market?

Really? Your giving him for putting OEM wheels on his LX? Grow up...

What size tire depends on whether or not you want to stay with a tire that is equivalent to stock size.

Stock on LX470 is a 31" tire.

The LX570 comes with 285/50R20 from the factory, this is also a 31"

For a 33" you could run a 285/55R20 or 305/55R20

There are other options, especially if you go to 35s, but i would stick with one these sizes. IDK what you have down to your LX.

I would go with 275/60/20. That's factory width for your truck, not only that, you'll get a bit more sidewall than with the other sizes, which is better on gravel roads etc; as well it's a true 33" and cheaper than many other sizes.

Cheers

I this size would work the best. I know others think I am crazy, but I love this wheel:) Currently, I run the Discoverer STT on my factory 16's. I mostly take this vehicle skiing with my buddies. It's definately not a rock crawler! I am just tired of the STT road noise and my 16's need a complete refinish, so why not buy factory take offs????

There is no reason not to buy them.....OEM wheels are quite possibly the best built wheels in the world.....no joke, Japan has very strict standards

That picture saddens me. Watching the evolution of the Land Cruiser is like watching a train wreck in super slow motion... or like watching the evolution of the Supra. Those wheels... wow. I will say the 20" wheels and low-profile tires go very well with the color matched running boards.

Over heard at Toyota circa 1996...
Yohshi: "Hey guys, uhmm... I think this FZJ80 is about the right mix of luxury and off-road ability. Can we keep this in mind as we design that 100 Series we're supposed be working on? Guys?
Team: "How 'bout more plastic? Ooh, and let's make it bigger!"
Yoshi: "Guys, let's slow down here? Take a look at this 80... here, I'll just pin this up over here..."
Team: "I know, let's use the running boards from the Sienna..."
Team: "Yeah! And the wheels from the LS400!
Team: "Hey, what if we paint everything the same color - you know, the bumpers, moldings, running boards... "
Yoshi: "Guys? The 80? Look at this picture... no put the pen down... "

I was fortunate enough to meet Yoshi Nishimura at the FJ Summit a couple years ago. He said, in broken engrish, that the last real LandCruiser was the 40th Anniversary 80 Series. He was fun to hang with and he finds Woodford Reserve on the rocks....Oooo Strooong....;)

That being said, I love my 100!

I would agree that the US 100 is definately not an 80. The 105 being closer to the original idea of an 80. I have owned two FZJ80's in the past. They are rock solid and a great vehicle. Really, the 100 meets my needs now. I used to live in the mountains and the 80 was more appropriate for that environment. Now the 100 hauls all my friends and ski gear with ease. 20" LX570 take offs will work beautifully for this application. I am also considering the new Mercedes GL450 in the fall...guess I really have moved to the sissy side of the world :D

I don't see anything wrong with them. Not everyone has to use their 100 as a hard core offroad vehicle.

At least they are OEM wheels....seen some terrible after market stuff on different 100s on this forum!
