200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser - Transfer Case Damper Torque Spec

So I was changing my Tcase fluid, went under the car.... only to find that my 2008 don't have a damper either... hmmmm whos the Tcase bandit out there.

Seems to be #33183-60060. About $200. I mean dooooo I neeeeeed it??? Been driving like this for a while now. I sometimes have trouble getting into 4Lo, but that seem to be emission related (P0441/P0455) I thought changing the Tcase fluid may help, only to find a missing damper.

I think the damper only has an impact on vibration mitigation of some sort at speeds over 35, but I'm not certain. What I do think: my PO (or his shop) pulled it when installing armor: remove bits from the t-case that don't get put back on, and just skip this thing as well. I think I bought mine for less than half that, so keep looking. For $200 I will go find a similarly sized rock, drill holes, add some rubber goo, and send your that; maybe even $150. Is it impacting your 4Lo bits: asymptotically approaching no. Will it enhance performance? According to my research, this item will add as many performances as racing stripes will, with the distinction that only you will know the extra performance is there. (low viz location)

sounds about right. I'll just keep paying attention to it. Occasionally find a wrecked 200/570, maybe I can buy it for cheap. But as of now I'm not too worried.
