I wanted to get rid of some of the nose down look of the LX600, but most of the shops I spoke with wanted to gut the AVS on the Premium model and replace with standard springs and struts. I was not convinced that removal of the AVS would not light up the dash, and I think the AVS works well and wanted to keep the system. I ran across a shop that installed a 3" spacer lift from Wescott Designs, using a 200 Series kit, so I decided to roll the dice. I ordered two Toyota 200 series LC strut spacers 43136-60020, and @duggy Duggy's Garage performed the install and perfectly dialed in the alignment. Measured from the center of the wheel hub to the top of the wheel well, the front of the vehicle went up an inch: from 19" to 20". Subtle, but happy with the outcome. A few weeks earlier I had purchased a set of used Jaos wheels and tires from @ElvezTX , a super cool dude, and those went on after a wash down. With any luck my teenage daughters will quit making fun of the car....

Why not just adjust the height sensors? It takes like 10 minutes and can be done without removing the wheels
It looks like AHC is only available as an option on Ultra luxury and F sport handling trims.

It’s on all trims but base trim. Luxury, premium, f-sport and UL all have it as standard

Not that I’ve been looking 🫣

I originally thought that too, but could only get the AHC on UL and F sport. Maybe I did something wrong?

Op was referring to the avs on his premium… not ahc which is an option only on f sport and luxury and standard on ultra luxury

@tbisaacs what they said. I have the fancy adjustable shocks a.k.a. AVS and not the Lexus Lowrider option a.k.a. AHC active height control.

My mistake! Truck looks dope!

AVS and AHC are confusing for sure. in future looking to buy an F sport w/o AHC so i can add my own suspension but most come with AHC.
AVS i thought was standard on all trims of lx600 including with and without AHC but someone can correct if wrong.
AVS = adapative variable suspension
AHC = active height control (hydraulic and not air).

AVS and AHC are mutually exclusive. Base lx has neither… this is the one to get if you want aftermarket suspension. Like OP said, you’d have to gut the AVS which would almost vertically trigger a bunch of error and malfunction messages.

The Canadian Fsport didn’t come with AHC, besides that I have never seen a non AHC US model so it may be hard to find. If you do a canadian one, good thing about these is you can change everything from KM to Miles in vehicle options in the center cluster.

If you can go without the Torsen diff, you can get the Fsport grill misc aftermarket. I believe the factory grill is around $1,200 and each side grill is around $200 each. I have seen advertisements for them non stock aftermarket replacement a well.

I think it sits perfect! Are those 275/60/20?

Maybe this is not technical 100% correct, however my understanding for now;

AVS = Shock absorbers which have electronic features to adjust their response, also used on many other high end vehicles these days. It provides a smoother ride whatever the conditions
AHC = Hydraulics in addition to the coil springs for height control, which is pretty unique and more robust then air suspension offered by others

I have a 300 and I removed the side steps. It had nice clearance for the dunes, I put it back after one week. Everyone getting into the car was stepping on the body to get in and putting scratches.
