Having a 170L sub tank installed, i no longer had any room for a spare and cannot afford a rear bar with swing outs. Always liked how the Kaymar made the 200 series tyre carriers hide in the bumper, so found one at a wreckers and got to work on modifying it to suit. Made a bracket between the chassis and the stub axle. Need to tidy up a few of the edges and install some indicator and brake lights into the bumper.

Overall is a good option for anyone who wants a swing away tyre carrier and cant get their hands on the original kaymar option.

I like how compact that is. You won't be bothered about the tail light?
I found these on ebay and will install them. Should keep me sorted I hope

I recommend enclosing the lower back half of the spare tire. Great for carrying a snatch strap, oil, fluids, etc.

Great idea, ive got a custom canvas wheel cover and dirty bag coming from a couple in Perth. Will also have space for 4 maxtrax!

Looks great, whats your wheel and tyre setup? Any poke

IMO sits perfectly, get the slightest bit of poke but not so much it throws mud down the side of your car.
