which would you run on the new 200? it has to be an aggressive mud tire and one that will fit without a lift.

Currently running a 285/60R18=31.5" x 11.2"

305/60R18 bfg km2 = 32.4" x 12"

275/65R18 cooper stt = 32.1" x 10.8"

305/60R18 dick cepek mud country =32.4" x 12"

275/65R18 buckshot mudder by maxxis=32.1x10.8

any other options out there?

I've been a BFG MT guy for years, but their reluctance at putting out mud tires for 18" wheels has chapped my ass, so I have been looking elsewhere. The Toyos are receiving great feedback and I think I am going to shoe two of my vehicles with the Toyos.

I don't see why a 33" tire won't fit.

The Toyo MT's are pretty awesome.

Are these actually being used in mud often? Some of the MT tires are really good for rocks, not mud.

I would recommend a different tire if you live in the southwest versus the south for example.

I think first you need to ask yourself if you really need a MT.

In hindsight, I got overzealous putting BFG MTs on my 100 for the handful of times I went wheeling a year.

After a couple years of feeling every single nub at slow speed and the constant whir at high speeds, I put on a set of Toyo Open Country ATs and have never looked back.

Of course on my recent trip to Yankee Toys Fall Gathering, they weren't as a good wheeling as the MTs, but that's the sacrifice I paid.

Good luck!

me-hey self do you need mud tires?

self-only if you want to stop getting stuck in the mud

me-thanks

So you're constantly getting stuck in the mud in your 200?

macneill - you have toyo open country ATs...they are probably a perfect tire for the 200. How do you find them in the mud on your 100?

Have not tried them in the mud yet. Last time I wheeled was at Yankee Toys Fall Gathering and it was pretty dry at the time.

Would like to see how they do in the snow if we ever get any.

I have the toyo A/T's on my touareg and they are very good in the snow, while they are not a dedicated winter tire, they perform extremely well.

I am in the market for a lx470, and once I make the jump, a set of 275-70-R18's open country A/T's will be the very next purchase!!

Just my 2 cents!!

I have the exact same tires on my 100 - Toyo OC. This is my second set of them, only bigger this time..:D

I have had them in a little mud, snow and pooling water.

They are nice a quiet on the street at any speed. I didnt have any issue in the mud at all, they seemed to slip a bit, but it got me through what i needed. In snow they friggen rock

Bottomline, the tires are great overall, however, if you plan on going into the mud a lot then you will find M/T are much better..
