2 tone paint question

Looks Great! Yeah - I hear ya - the flares do make it look dated. May talk to body shop about trading out some touch up and painting side molding instead of the flares - but need to price it out to put it back like it was to settle up with the dude that ran into it. They thought there would be holes in the doors and front corner panels for mounting hardware, but apparently they're just held on by adhesive and the screws in the wheel wells. My rocker panel is black like the rest of the body - I like how yours ties into the numbers.

Appears that removing the flares begs of removing the step too.

I'm not sure why some cars had bumper colored lower rocker panels and some don't. on white alone, there's a variation between the years, some are white, others tan like the bumper. and no, gulf coast cars come in both flavors too. My friend has a black one with gray bumpers. he had it all painted to match the body. looks fantastic!

Thanks for sharing that picture. Looks tight! I'll be talking with body shop about that for mine and see how much I'll have to come out of pocket to make it happen.

What year is your cruiser? They changed the colors from year to year; the following chart might help:
Toyota Land Cruiser Touchup Paint Codes, Image Galleries, Brochure and TV Commercial Archives

On your truck,
The 056 refers to the natural white paint.
The LA00 refers to the "ivory" leather interior.

So neither of those tell you about the bottom color.

To me, it looks like "champagne pearl" (1B1), which does look sort of gold in person, but it is hard to tell from the picture, especially without knowing the year of the cruiser, and whether or not that is actually the original factory paint.

Are all bumpers for any given year the same color codes?

Dude, Remove the stupid flares!

Here's when i went to first look at the cruiser, and the second is 3 months later after a wash, detail, and removal of flares and side steps.
