I removed my running boards today. Big improvement. Now I need to do some touch-up, but I can't find the color for the bottom color on my LC. My paint/trim code is 056/LA00. 056 is the Natural White on the top. Anyone know what the bottom color is?

What year is your cruiser? They changed the colors from year to year; the following chart might help:
http://www.toyotareference.com/landcruiser/1998-2007

On your truck,
The 056 refers to the natural white paint.
The LA00 refers to the "ivory" leather interior.

So neither of those tell you about the bottom color.

To me, it looks like "champagne pearl" (1B1), which does look sort of gold in person, but it is hard to tell from the picture, especially without knowing the year of the cruiser, and whether or not that is actually the original factory paint.

It's a 2005. If I'm reading the chart from paintscratch.com correctly, the only 2-tone scheme that used white in 2005 also used the Gray Metallic Clearcoat. It's the original paint. It's a one owner I bought from the same dealership where it sold new in '05. It is a Gulf States Toyota. Maybe the 2-tone some of them? The paint matches the flares I took off exactly.

Plans for the flares? I have a 2000 and some jerk hit the one behind the rear door on the drivers side. Not sure what specific color mine are or if they would be the same as your year model.

Another option I'm considering is removing them altogether. I took that one off to see what I could do to mend it and possibly have it painted. A local body shop told me he thought removing the front flares would leave holes showing in the fender. I'm not so sure about that, but I've not attempted to take one off yet to see. What did you find?

Manhattan is correct. No holes, just some scratches, dirt and adhesive under the flares. The one behind the drivers door was the worst. There was some paint removed. Easily covered with some touch-up. Since I removed mine, I've done a clay bar, compound and wax. I have to look really hard to tell the flares were ever there. IMO it looks much better without the flares. The fenders are already flared don't need flares added on. If you decide to keep them, PM me your info and I'll send you the one you need.

Alpine357...My experience trying to find the trim code led me to my local dealer...give them the vin number and they can give you the paint code for the side molding and bumpers. Beautiful LC, btw. ;)

Thanks man. Replacing the trim is next on my list. I didn't buy the LC for looks, but now that I have it, I can't help myself.

Thanks alpine357. Will see if I can find time this weekend to see how bad it is under the flares. Not too worried about a few rock chips as mine have them too. In looking at the link someone posted, I suspect your flares may be a different paint color since your truck is white. Mine is black and I think the trim is a darker shade so I'd be looking at paint anyway if I keep them on.

Hey Alpine - you still have those flares? I'm needing the driver side rear.

Thx!
