Hey guys, I'm planning to swap a 1kz-t into my 2.8L diesel 1993 2nd gen 4Runner (essentially a ln106 mechanically). I have a donor 1kz-t vehicle and am wondering exactly what parts I'll need from it to get the swap done.
At this point I've taken the engine, transmission, and AC compressor from the 1kz. What else is required?

PS
Any tips or tricks about the swap would be greatly appreciated too!

Manual or automatic transmission? Assuming it is a 1KZ-T and not a 1KZ-TE, you'll want to get whatever wiring is specific to the engine. A 1KZ-TE will be more involved, requiring the ECU and all related wiring and electronics.

Yeah a 1KZ-T, not E. And a manual transmission. What kind of wiring might be specific to the engine?

I'm not super familiar with the differences between the 3L and 1KZ-T, but I would take all engine wiring: injection pump harness, water temp and oil pressure senders, turbo pressure sensors, crank position sensor, glow plug circuit including relays. Probably some other stuff I am forgetting right now, too. The gauge senders are likely the same between the two.

Cheers, any other parts other than the wiring I should take from the donor? (Airbox, clutch slave cylinder, brake booster?)

Airbox is a good idea. Clutch slave should stay with the bellhousing you’re using. Brake booster will be specific to your vehicle model.
