Reassembling / reinstalling pedal bucket and can't seem to figure out how the small tension springs (pulls the pedals up toward the drivers feet) attach to the assembly or cowl. The clevis pins which attach the pedals to the respective forks have rather obvious locations for one end of the springs, but I see no obvious place to anchor the other end of the springs... picture or description would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Now on to the wire harness...

Cheers, and Keep on Cruising!

Brake return spring hooks in the hole on the same side as the pedal, close to the lower part of the dash on the pedal assembly....

Clutch return spring attaches to a hole in the lower section of the original dash lip...you will need to drill a hole for that one...

Good luck!

Resurrecting an ancient thread. Can someone post a picture of where the clutch spring is supposed to attach. I see the pin with the groove that the spring attaches to on the pedal. What I don’t see is where the other end connects. I know I don’t have to drill a hole because the spring was attached before I took it apart and I did not close up any holes So the hole should still be there Thanks.

Here is a photo under the dash of my 12/79 build 40. The clutch pedal return spring has a black plastic sleeve on it, right in the middle of the photo.

Thank you for posting that. After I posted the question I went back out and looked again and saw that opening. I had initially thought something bolted there. What I have not seen is that sleeve over the spring to keep it from grabbing wires. That’s good stuff. Mine did not have that.
