Selling mid-78 T-case. Rebuilt and packed for storage several years ago. Has full additional gasket set, seals, and steel case saver. Moving and need to get rid of it. In Oxnard, CA. Possibly ship.

Are you sure this is from a 78? The high/low shift lever pointed to the front not the right side. Those were on the three speed and early four speed. That is something home made attached to the 4WD housing. Looks like I might see 5 B stamped on the side. That would be Feb. 75. Which would explain the home made shifter.

Yep,
Been going through some details. !6 spline, 29 tooth gear. Feb 75 is probably correct. It was taken out of a 5/78 FJ40. Made the assumption.

Did I miss a price?

I bought a transmission/transfer case for $50 as cores. Was suppose to have been from a 78. Turned out the transfer case was from a 74 and set up the same as your except mine didn't have the top plate for either the transmission or transfer case. Can't say for sure how the high low range lever was set up. These were the last version of the lower geared one piece transfer case which is considered to be a plus for many. I know I wasn't disappointed to find out what transfer it was.
