As Dave said I have Skyjacker 4" and revolver shackles in the rear, and have had no problems with it. I even pulled a pop-up, but the 2F was a bit slow so ended up doing that with a 3rd gen 4Runner.

I am running OME 2.5" Heavy Duty Springs front and rear. I went with the heavy up front because the 2F is a beast. Went with the heavy in the rear because of the aux tank, hard top, plus gear.

Call Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters and he will be able to tell you what would work best - medium or heavy. Call me if you want to drive my 40.

My goal is to end up with a rig that can pull a trailer big enough for two people and my creeps(pics of creeps to follow) long distance ie:Ouray, Moab, Chama etc. upon reaching said destination be able to hit trails that fall just short of rock crawling. This 40 is too nice to thrash. Im trying to get a little more lift / articulation just short of soa...just enough to get me into those spots where I'm saying "Damn I'm destroying this beautiful rig, I should've gone soa!"

Did you ever decide what to go with? I have a kit waiting for me, along with my steelies at 4wheel parts on Manual. They offer free shipping and do price matching. I am outa town for another week and a half so a bit eager to get my hands on my goodies. I pieced together the suspension kit, ome/dakar springs, bilstein shocks, and daystar greasable shackles. Unfortunately I wont be able to tell you how it rides until my project is drivwable, and that always seems to be 5 years away. I ended up paying ~$1500 out the door for everything to include tax, and got all the accessories bushings, u bolts... that was about the price of other vendors for just the OME kit. Keep in mind my price included 5 x $60 a piece wheels + suspension stuff. the only thing i did not get was the steering damper
