My mom and step dad will be in town, so I won't be making it this month...
I wanna submit the slick rock, deer valley, strawberry canyon run. Been talking about it for years now, but let's get that one going. It's a great run!!!

I asked a couple of times to set up some tentitive runs but I think it got tabled or we got sidetracked.

You know how the BS flows--esp after two picthers are emptied

Be there in March and we will gang up on them. We did talk about Deer Valley/strawberry/slickrock--May was bantered about but we are unsure due to the weather. By march mtg we should have a good idea about snow levels etc.

This month--deadhorse canyon on the 18th--leave time 9 at Damonte north parking lot

Im gonna have to pawn my call off on someone to do dead horse, but it'll be worth it.
I'll be at the next meeting, but it would have been a poor choice to have my mom and step dad come in that evening, and say "HI, great to see ya! gotta go to my landcruiser meeting be home in a few!"

Where is Dead Horse? I assume you're not talking about the Dead Horse Canyon in Eureka County?

It's not a formal name just a little canyon up in the Virginia Range. It follows Louse Town Creek and comes out by Lagomarsino Canyon. It shows as a jeep trail on my GPS but it hasn't been in use for a long time based on walking the upper two thirds. You could probably do it in your 100 but it would be work.

We were going to post it as stocker friendly for the first half of the run in case anybody wanted to take a ride to see the petroglyphs. If we get any takers we will probably start at the bottom and run up hill, otherwise we will start at the last place where Louse Town Rd crosses the creek and run down the canyon.
