My LC200 decided to need new injectors at 327000km..

The quote from Toyota for the job was crazy.

Denso lists 3 different injectors for 1vd-ftv, prices ranging from 250-650€. The folks at Toyota do not know the differences between them, so they are selling me the 650€ ones.

Does anybody here know the differences between:
DCRI109840
DCRI109780
DCRI200480
denso cross reference list

Do I really have to spend 650€ per injector, or can I get away with "only" 250€ times 8?

Also, what other parts do I need for the job? (anything special or just the usual bits and bobs)
Are there any other things I should do while doing the injectors

I’ve not needed to do injectors, but it may have something to do with what euro spec they are, as the 1VD motor was put in the 200 and 7x series, and then sold in developed and developing countries, each with their own emissions specs. However, I don’t think that injector install on a 1VD engine is a DIY job, as I believe they have to be programmed to the vehicle. Perhaps a mechanic on here or someone who’s had their injectors replaced can comment. It may also be beneficial to check the South African and Australian forums as they will have significantly more experience with this stuff.

There’s a youtube channel called Engine Care, which is a firm in Australia that specializes in the D4D engines and know all their issues. They may have some videos on injector replacement, or may have an email available in which you could contact them for advice.

Here’s a you tube link from Australian Images who replaced his injectors. Perhaps this will be of help:
