1st time at the dunes!!

i've lived in OR. pretty much my whole life and today was the first time i ever went wheelin on the dunes, i always talk like it wasn't anything special going wheelin out in open sand but i take it all back, heres some pics hope you enjoy

Nice. Dunes are very addicting, I guess it's the adrenaline they give ya. I hadn't wheel in dunes til I moved here (Chile). They got some pretty steep and tall dunes down here. It amazes me how similar the US west coast landscape is to Chile, just with inverse latitude. The south of Chile looks like the states' NW coast, the north of Chile looks like the SW coast and viceversa.

How much did you lower your tire pressure? i've tried as low as 5psi and it's amazing how much more traction you get for each pound you lower.

that day i lowered my PSI to 18 and didnt have any problems, but it was sprinkling and the sand was a lil wet and packed like the west coast always is, and i didnt need to go lower, but i do need more power for those dune faces, and as soon as i go out more pics will be posted.
 
Dunes could be fun. Careful though catching too much air will tear your motor mounts apart. I know from experience.
