So all of Michigans COMCAST internet customers were down yesterday and look what happens.

I find it ironic that several folks spent a lot of time and effort getting this club recognized, now before we have a meeting there is talk of disbanding or splitting.

The other 40 in Michigan is in a field so I am still 3 short to have a chapter.

Anyhow. We have a lot of good dudes. Seriously good dudes. You guys have saved me tons of money helping me fix crap, and hopefully I have paid some back with comic relief and heat clogging food.

I wont bother to echo everyone elses coments but lets at least try to have one meeting.

I will try to make the time to come down for it noting its 4 hours each way and my wife is due on Feb. 25.

BTW I just bought the winning numbers for the Mega Millions drawing for tomorrow so I might be off line for a few days.

Warren,

Good points, but 'several' is an overstatement. I am splitting off from the club with some Columbus folks and we are keeping "our thing" local.

It was a seriuos mistake to try and do this for the entire state, we haven't had a meeting yet, we will. It will be up to Karl to make the decisions...He's the President.

I will remain a member here as a guest only cause I like 90 percent of you guys. Let's face it..we don't have to like everyone. Nor tolerate them either.

So, good luck guys, the web site, the "chapter in good standing" will remain as long as someone ELSE does it and will continue to offer the club the website free of charge and will look forward to getting together with some of you in future at club functions if there are some.

Okay,

Hope I can still hang out with you ALL when I come around be it North South East or West.

As soon as I can get a tow dolly or trailer and a truck capable of pulling same, I will be a bit more mobile to do some functions.

Hey thats probably only 10 grand or so away.

Warren,

Not much is gonna change on my end as far as keeping in contact, etc...

Theres a few of us down here that want to do the club thing on a grander scale and we do one day want to be Rising Sun, Lone Star, etc.. and the way to do it is by making it logistically possible for the participants and have everyone on the same page.

Karl and I talked 18 months ago about reorganizing when I was still wheelin' my trekker 3 times per month..26 outings in a year and much has changed since then but I fullfilled my promise to do what I've done and don't feel guilty, bad, or anything about splitting off now my task has been completed. 2007 will be another of those years we wheel and I'm gonna try and break that record of 26 outings and I know a few of us feel that way also.

This way, the 5 Sammis we wheel with can be apart of what we do and our club will not be associated with the TLCA. But we have 10 guys I can think of off the top of my head that want to do this and there is only so much time.

So, come down, visit, wheel, whatever with us at will. You are always welcome in my shop. FYI, I'm back down at the big shop with Vince and Andy and lovin' it.;)

mark--I don't think anyone's disagreeing with all of the hard work you have done to get us in good standing--I think everyone knows that it was mainly YOU who did the grunt work to get us recognized.

That said, you are going to break off now? After the fact that you said it wasn't feasible? I think you need to get your story straight in terms of what is going on. Are we a club or not? What is your MO?

So, 10% of the OH folks you don't like?! I don't get that. Who are those 10% anyway...I'd be interested in knowing and others might to so they can know if they are on MVM's good side or not.

Good luck with your new club and I hope that I am a part of the 90% you do like....

I will return to the drama on Monday...Marty OUT!

Onur,

I sent you 2 PMs and you have yet to reply to one..but you will do this?

What is your MO?

This thread has definetly lost its purpose I would say:confused:

As INTERIM presidente, this is my following position:

:) I would like to see this board as a home base for trail rides, tech sessions, general meetings, etc. This gives people more opportunities to participate, because, most people can not make all events or meetings. Hopefully, this will result in some level of coordination. Also, it is a location to post for parts, assistance, etc.
:) I would like to make this club a minimal participation club. You don't have to do anything really, but sign up and enjoy. Right now we have some money secured in a safe place  and have not really authorized any expenses. Like I try to tell my wife, if you do not spend money you do not need to make much money:rolleyes:
:) I understand we have minimal requirements to be a TLCA club, which appear to be pretty basic. We can hopefully have some sort of successful election, have the necessary positions, and have the required meetings. These meetings can be short and to the point and officers can attend via cell phone.
:) My goal is to have some group participation at several trail ride events in 2007 and schedule some social gatherings. Since I like to wheel I will put my personal interest first and work the events.

I have the backing of big corporation money, but you still may be able to keep me out of office if my black suites don't find you first....so....if you do not agree with my position nominate another.

I appreciate the hard work of everybody to get us started, we just need to have some fun in 2007.

Cheers

Karl

Excellent reply and if you remember in the beginning why I thought you would be a great pres is you have a better disposition for it than I do.

Agreed. Onur, my appologies to you Sir and would appreciate a reply to PM so we can further work this out if possible. I'm afraid some of this tension may have spilled over from Chat and some other hindsite issues:beer:

I'm not a fake person if I like you, you know it and would appreciate a little liencie (sp?) on my previous statement please.

Sounds good Karl.

I'm in.

I'm in also and appreciate the definition of the club. Makes sense.

Man, this does remind me of sitting around with the MOLC guys in a Donatos on Brice in Columbus 7-8 years ago! Anyone ever speak with Mike Busey, Artie Harris, or the Browns any more?

As far as the new club I would love to help out as much as anyone. I think we'll be able make some serious headway at the impromptu meeting in December. Things always seem easier face to face where you can actually read someones emotions!

I look forward to meeting everyone (some again and some for the first time)!

No..there's no meeting planned for this weekend or any other as of yet.

With the informality of this club...meetings aren't really needed IMO.

Ok,

See new post..... if anyone wanted to meet i'd be willing to meet at the Bellville Exit off i-71 of that made it easier for NE ohio members.
