So I have just purchased an 03 LX 470 and made my very 1st mod. (Here are some before and after photo's). This rig came with the 20" rims (for sale) and I went back to an 18" stock wheel with the 285/65/18. Next in line is the ARB Sahara bumper. I think this is the only one that will fit the 03. I also don't think I can get a winch with the weight on the height control. Let me know what you guys think!

The wheels look MUCH better than what came on your truck! Nice start to the mods...

Oh yeah, drop the running boards. :D

every noob gets told to loose the running boards. Let it be their choice, its kind of annoying to not have them unless you have the dough for the step sliders ready.

Custom wheels for these trucks always look like aaassssss. Huge improvement, great mod.

Congrats on your first retirement fund mod. I'm glad the tire and wheels worked out for you! That looks much better (IMHO).

Doug

congrats. Agree, keep those boards if you use them.

Keep us posted on your thoughts on those E load BFG ATs. I'm tempted to do them in a couple of years when I need new tires, if the on-road ride's not too bad.

Next in line is the ARB Sahara bumper. I think this is the only one that will fit the 03.
You can fit the ARB Deluxe/Combi bar too if you just cut the upper bar tabs. Otherwise, they interfere with opening the hood.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I would love to get rid of the running boards, just need to get permission from the other:idea:

I love the AT's. I have had them on many vehicles now and always perform. Here are some more pics. I upgraded to silver star:D

Looks great!

Depending if you plan to go off road or not, you may want to look at sliders before a bumper. Just a thought. Unfortunately there is never enough money to do everything you want at once!

X2 Sliders are also an easier sell to the :princess:.

It's a safety issue, sliders add protection during a side impact collision. Thats my story and I'm sticking with it. :grinpimp:

Cool functional changes, right on!

Just a little feed back on fitting a winch with AHC. FYI - I kept it light by going with a TJM T3 in front. Not sure how much lighter this is than an ARB Combo but I'm guessing it weighs about half as much. Also went with a Competition T-Max 9000 Winch with synthetic line. It only holds 80 ft of line, but I keep another 75 feet in the truck. Total weight for the winch is under sixty lbs. vs over 100 for a Warn. We'll have to see how it holds up in the long run, but the rated pull is quite high. I figure I can always use a snatch block to up the capacity. So far no problems with the AHC - even with a loaded truck.
