Hostin an event at our house in Ct. Camping, open garage, stocker runs, what have you. More info in the wheelin schedule sticky. August 3-5. Come on over for a chill cruiser filled weekend.

I'll be there, should have a general release by then...........let me know if you need any help getting stuff together. Maybe I'll wash the mud from last October off the 25.

CT... Well that may be right in my neck of the woods... What town? I'd be happy to meet up at a local CT cruiser head function. And lucky me, I'm off that weekend as well.

Jim- glad you're doin well, I'll give ya a ring if we need something and feel free to do the same if you need a hand.

NGUY- we are over in Canton. Come on over!

I may be able to make it. We'll keep an eye on this thread for more info.

"open garage", is that like an open bar only we get all the repairs we want free?

As long as you do em, sure. Fairly well equipped garage open for use, help with projects for the less mechanically inclined, all hands on deck projects, whatever. Welder, compressor, variety of tools etc.

bummer, my girls have state swim meet that weekend. we shall see

Someone might need to do a rain dance to keep that brook full enough for a swim meet.

Hypothetically speaking,

lets say two FJ60s showed up and the running gear from one needed to be swapped into the other. Are the tools and equipment available as well as some help and talent to get the job done?

Tools and space are not a problem. Help and talent depends on who shows up. I am capable of the job but will be running the show (wheeling, etc.) and can't dedicate the whole time to working on one rig. But if everyone wants to jump in, sure go ahead. Are you talking about a frame swap on the brown rig?

Rick- it would be great to have you and the family

she found a truck that has a bad clutch or something so it doesn't run.

My thought was to just swap over the engine/tranny/tcase as a unit and scrap the brown truck.

I think a little more investigation needs to be done as far as the rest of the KY truck goes but was thinking that would be the quick and dirty way for her to have a good 60.

lol... yea one of you might need to call the guy cuz my ability to understand Kentuckian was BAD! I def heard bad clutch and rust on dorrs, ect but after that it all went down hill. This is just an idea... Clearly I am not in a position to do a job like that alone and absolutely appreciate the willingness of you guys to help and I would do whatever cooking, baking, ect to help pay you guys back for your time and efforts. I am also weighing the pros and cons of selling mine now as a parts truck and buying a better, running truck from NJ and/or a potential of buying a 62 with a friend (she'd need an automatic, which I'd put up with) who needs a truck off and on for her landscaping work. Thanks to John and his "shared" truck stories... that just came to mind this morning. I'm going to see what she thinks today.
