Recently purchased a 1993 LC P/U 3.4L diesel and decided to read thru the Owners Manual. While it does provide me with the quantities and types of oil, coolant and lubricants for the differentials, transmission, transfercase; it does not provide me with Part Numbers for any of the filters.
Does any one have either the Toyota or aftermarket part number for the Oil, Fuel and Air filters ?

Thank you,

Charles

As the 1PZ is slowly being forgotten about, the service items are largely the same as a 1HZ , and I guess you could include Injectors ,glow plugs and timing belts fan and alternator belts..
So when looking for service items from suppliers you may have to look at 1HZ parts as they often dont list a 1PZ these days.

This may apply to this thread:

Im looking for this part:

16571-17030 HOSE, RADIATOR, INLET

This is just a hydroformed hose, was hoping to get the original hose but I am unable to find it, does anyone if there is an alternate part number for it?

I usually by an aftermarket kit from Gates or Sumitomo and change it all at the same time.
If one hose has had it, the other one wont be far behind

GATES TOYOTA LANDCRUISER 75 SERIES HZJ75 4.2L 1HZ RADIATOR HOSE & BELT KIT 4WD 9314693462283 | eBay

thanks for the link, both hoses in my case are fine but I've decided to overhaul all hoses, I replaced accessory belts less than a year ago as pm, but will do timing belt while I'm there.

^thats a great parts link thanks

Since I am not sure of the local (Philippines) availability of parts; I decided to purchase a spare set of hoses, thermostat, and radiator cap, several oil, fuel and air filters, a set of fan belts, spare U joints and several other items for use overseas. I am still looking into a water pump and alternator to keep on hand....

and found a forum member selling a used alternator in good condition

Is yours 12v or 24v? I just saw the other day that some 1PZ are 24v, I though they were all 12v.

Many Thanks to this Forum, Beno and others for providing me with numerous links including ToyoDIY for part numbers and the Online Toyota EParts to order reasonably priced parts. I have been able to locate and purchase many spare parts and maintenance parts for the PZJ75. I have recently ordered axle seals, hub and birfield casing bearings to add to my spares.
Still trying to decide what other parts I should keep on hand.

Aparts from filters, fuses, light bulbs, you shouldnt need too many. All the landcruisers I have owned go for years without needing parts, Ive only ever needed a water pump, aircon idler, windscreen washer pump, window winder, door hinges engine fuse, oil pressure sender and an alternator.
Not bad for 15 years.

If you can find one, finding a used 1PZ injection pump for less than $500 and having it rebuilt and ready to go in your parts bin would save you a lot of headache in case yours ever goes out and it is not rebuildable. I don't know your situation so you may have a rebuilt unit already.

I had the one on my 1PZ go out not long after I got it. Took it to a local shop to have it rebuild only to be told it was toast due to the ACSD on it going out. Sent it to Japan and they blamed it on what they called "home brew" diesel. Their words, not mine and no I don't run "home brew" diesel or kerosene.

New injection pumps for the 1PZ can be anywhere from $4,000 USD on the online parts sites to over $7,000 at ENS Canada for the one unit they have. Don't belive me? Look it up for yourself. Ended up with a rebuilt unit from japan for not much less than $4,000 :(

1HZ injection pumps are much easier (and cheaper) to source, 1PZ injection pumps are not.

So I guess the question would be. Can a Hz injection pump be used on a PZ ?
Yes.... I realize the HZ is a 6 cylinder and the PZ is a 5 cylinder.

Mines 24volt rosco.. its a jap import and has 350,000 on it (280 are mine ) ..... Just done injector pump but havent touched injectors yet... they are a very smooth running engine , its a shame they never made them for longer.
The dual mass clutch doesnt last long so a solid flywheel and clutch might be something too look into aswell.. mine took a dump at 130,000km
