Motor has 303k km. Runs fine, no overheating, no co-mingling coolant or oil. No obvious issues. Discovered this crack today while looking up-close at head. Is this something to worry about or should I just "send it"? Crack is on the casting surrounding one of the head bolts. You can almost fit a fingernail in it.

It's fine until it's not fine I guess. If there are no overheating symptoms then you can delay it until they appear. Only thing would be not to drive it if it starts using coolant.

Crazy; never seen external crack like that. I'd replace the head.
Replace it now on your schedule/your chosen circumstances/terms and avoid it failing catastrophically under worst circumstances......cuz murphy is like that
