I'm doing a 1kz swap into a 94 canadian spec toyota pickup. Trying to figure out how the shifter location is going to work without any hacking ideally.
Seams like i need to use a trans crossmember from A 4cylinder to move the r150f backwards 3". That would align the engine in the right spot. But pushes the shifters back out of the hole in the cab.
My confusion starts because the kzn130 uses the same trans and simular interior and center consol design. And all the photos I can find look to have the shifters in the same spot as my v6 truck before the swap.
Do they use a different center consol?
I can move mine rearward and modify the opening, but would like to keep things as factory looking as possible.
Maybe the shifter location on a surf r150f is different?
Any info would be appreciated if anyone has done this swap into a 4runner od pickup, or has a surf that's familiar with the differences.
