Is it that clatter you are trying to pick up in the video? Good to see it running somewhat normal again. Does it have the factory pre filter, they are a good investment? If you still have the old filter its a good idea to cut them up on a saw and see what they are like inside. In case you didn't know, each tank has a drain plug underneath.

Yes that's the clatter. No prefilter but I'll order one as well. Should be interesting to see what's inside the filter too.

The clatter could be the timer piston, its the noise they make and its often the first thing to go on a 1HZ pump. The big problem with these is it takes out the housing with it.
This a pic of one that came off an old ex mine 1HZ that I had rebuilt. The pump killed the budget. The timer piston flogs out that hole it sits in.
The pump needed all 4 of those major parts replaced including the housing but it was still cheaper than a new pump and it went well for the next 80000klms I had it.

You probably need someone who knows VE pumps to listen to it.

I drove her again today. Drives fine, but she is still clattery I think..i have a turbo kit for her as well. So I was thinking maybe I'm better off replacing the IP anyways?

What are some other symptoms of an injector pump failing?

Also just thought of this. My primer pump, it never really gets 'stiff' per say. There is some resistance but not much. Possible air sucking in?

The most common sign is that they lose pressure when hot. Most noticeable when you pull out to overtake a slower vehicle and find there is nothing left. It slowly gets worse and happens at slower
It takes a lot of air to make them run bad and they are usually bastards to start because the fuel syphons itself back to the tank overnight. You can check it yourself by adding temporary clear fuel line between pump and filter . This is mine when it was leaking. I had to keep pumping it to keep it running.
A weak hand pump is most likely a worn out oring inside the fliter head Sometimes owners get an air leak and rather than fix it ,they get out and pump the hell out of it every morning. They are really only supposed to be pumped once or twice a year with a filter change.
