This is a problem I run into sometimes so I'm gonna go ahead and ask. Looking to get injectors for a 1995 1HZ. Megazip lists the part number as 23600-19045, and they have them available.
Lots of parts are available from my local place, at great prices too, so more and more I'm looking local first. For this part number I get nothing, but they do have:
23600-19075
23600-19035
Both of these, along with the original number, show broad compatibility on Toyodiy with a broad range of vehicles, mine included. In fact they all seem to have basically identical fitment. But they're all very different prices, with different numbers. If the old part number is superceded, it'll say that, but not in this case which leads you to think they're totally different parts.
So what's the right number? All 3? Does it matter? Are they the same part with different numbers, or different items that fit the same vehicles? I'm using this as sort of a test case because this happens a lot.
Another thing that happens is parts that only date 1990 - 1993 - I assume they fit later trucks but sometimes a later date is specified, lots of times it's not. Seems like finding a part that actually dates to 1995 is a relative rarity.
