Hey all, results came back from the machine shop, and the Troopy needs a new head. Anyone have one laying around that’s already been tested? Figured I’d check before going to shell out for one at the dealer.

This 1HZ runs very poorly with smoke issues and a knock. Suspecting valve damage from bad timing job and needs a full rebuild.

Yeah had them run it through the account for a locks shop I know the owners at and it’s like $1205 before tax.

New bottom bearings and cam bearings
Crank polish
New head
Complete engine gasket set
Oem water pump/timing belt
Oem clutch kit
Injectors being rebuilt
Oem rad/hoses
Oem thermostat
Glow plugs
Motor mounts

Any other recommendations while this thing is apart?
