Has anyone swapped a 1HDT into a FJ62 or know of some one who has? I was thinking of the complete engine,auto, tranny and transfer case.

Proffitt's Cruisers does. But if you try and price one out a half-cut will still run you around $12,000. Even after all these years of importing the RHDs.

The 1HDT is a fantastic engine. Gobs of power and torque. Great mileage. Durability. Wicked sound. It's basically the reason I bit the bullet and bought a RHD. Pay $12000 for the engine and another $3-4000 for the swap, or for $15000 you can have a nice HDJ81. You get used to driving on the right.
