The gturbo would be nice I guess, and the day there is immediate local warranty support I will investigate it further. I think we need to remember with pyro readings that the temps we are seeing are the exhaust gas stream not the metal components which are constantly being cooled by surrounding components, oil jets, water jackets and the intake air charge itself. I run my stock CT26 at around 18 psi max for very short duration usually more like 15 for that short spike, if it goes pop, I will look at the ATEB turbo that George is having so much fun with (if it proves out well, of course! sorry George!)
Further impressions,
I need to turn down my boost controller a hair, I think it may change a bit due to several conditions such as ambient temps or some other thing as my boost has crept up a bit from 17 , simple turn of a valve.
Fuel economy- likely unchanged as I seem to still be legging it a bit with the new power!
drive- went up the cut again behind traffic at 1450 rpm locked up when I was able to get a free lane I throttled it enough to not kick down and it pulled strongly up the hill with a bit of black smoke until the boost built up, but I was doing 110 kph at the top...
