I stopped by ATEB this morning......

John, you're a heck of a salesman ;) Coming soon to my truck (probably second half of Feb):

- 3in1 gauge (Boost, EGT and Trans temp)
- Fuel pump mod
- Full 3" exhaust
- Power rod mod

:D:D:D

On that note you might want to install a steel plate in your pants n invest in some Kleenex to go along with all those smiles lol.

well i dont think i have every seen so many guest on this site before (25 )looks like im not the only one happy with ateb s secret hp mods. just a guess though

Plans have changed....My truck is going in today. I'm excited! :D

John was saying someone drove down from the Yukon to have this mod done along with a few other things. ATEB...They're THAT good! LOL

Hah I wouldn't be surprised, he told me this story about a guy who shipped his 81 from the Yukon after he had cracked his pistons due to adding too much additive to his fuel severely wearing out his injectors, why try and get it rebuilt up north when you can just ship it to John!

Have fun with your new mods Ryan!

He shipped a whole truck? Shipping from the Yukon isn't cheap. I can understand an engine but not a whole truck.

To my understanding yes, the engine was in bad shape.... Throwing thick black clouds of smoke n making all sorts of racket, John told him to get it looked at ASAP n the guy said I will ship it down to you..... Musta loved his 81!

If you are not confident to do it your self and love the truck I see no reason not to ship it to some one competent in fixing. Would be cheaper in the long run than having it done twice locally.

Having said that thought with the cost of JDM 80 series now its almost cheaper to get a diffent one, almost disposable now :)

For local prices, yes, but to import a decent one with today's exchange rate....

IMO local prices are too low, but I guess people just want to unload them.

I'm looking forward to seeing if I notice a difference with this mod. Since I'm having the exhaust done as well, it might just seem faster, but I should be able to tell on my normal driving routes and when going up hills etc.

Not sure its a matter of wanting to unload them its just what the market now can bear. That ultimately is what dictates the value of any new or used commodity.

I agree the price to bring a decent one over now with the exchange rate is insane and I would be very surprised if anyone is, its just not worth it any longer.

Its neat to see this mod around now I have been reading for years on inj pump tuning and all the stuff guys do with there Cummins pumps is impressive. Nice ot see something for the 1HD now.

Noob- These are my 2 fav. mods... The exhaust sounds really cool and lowers your EGTs, the rod and tune make it fun to drive.

That's awesome, would like to do a 1HD swap some day and play with it a bit. :D

sorry was directed at Monster.

You can take mine for a spin next time I see you Jeremy. I think you'll silently be cursing your gasser later :)

I'm worried if I do that I will cry every time I drive mine.......or at least fill it. Sure sounds like a plan :D

Well in the future when I have my turbo and intercooler 1hz (this year I figure) and has the pump and injectors done with a boost comp (when the pump needs a going through) I am interested in this mod.

When I had some stuff done at Fred Holmes Fuel Injection, Raj was showing me the difference between a 1HD-T and a Dodge injection pump housing, and to my surprise they were practically identical. I wouldn't be surprised if the mods carried over.

So I had my first run up 'the cut' in North Van this afternoon.

90 kph (NOT recalcuated for the 315's), 2000 rpm, boost at 1 bar, foot just resting on the right pedal. Didn't even notice that I was going up a hill.
