Whats the best place to connect a turbo pressure meter/guage on a 1hd-fte engine without drilling. If any available pls provide a pic.

Also I am adding a bigger intercooler.. is it worthwhile to look at an extra fan on the intercooler or is that not necessary.

Anyone ever run into gauge A pillar pods for the 100?

This is the intercooler i will be mounting.

The 1HD-FTE has a Turbo Pressure Sensor already. See attached pdf. You could either tap into that signal, or put another one in the same place.

Had to look up what "A-pillar Gauge Pod" is. Found it. Is that the best place to put extra gauges and meters?

Well if you know any better places to mount gauges im happy to hear them.

There are 3 gauge din plates for in the dash but I have no space there. Maybey some roof console pods.. but then again I have the glass roof...pfff decisions decisions:D

The aussies have them but for the wrong side....:bang:
 
You could make a pod. If you have a couple of days to spare.
Thinking a chicken mesh / gypsum model, then make a mould from glasfibre/polyester, and then you are free to produce an mass.

Give me the days to do it and I will :D... too busy with the business.. So I quess its up to you to make us all happy.:p

there are pillar pods for 100 series and nissan patrols they are around Au $440 i think

Cant help asking if you also are updating the engine ECU to take advantage of larger intercooler. In france people add an ecu from a company called adonis. based on what exact type of 100 you have it can boost power up to 265 hp

Dutchy, did you ever find a Pillar pod that fits? i'm also looking for one.
 
Nope I didn't. All they sell are the oem pods wich dont fit nicely.

I did have the Adonis chip installed... they are very expensive but imo well worth the money. It was truly a beast.

Dont have the car anymore.. cause i wanted to go back to the 80.
