I suspect that i might have a small boost leak in one of the couplers, or somewhere around the intake manifold.
So Ideally, to pinpoint the leak, i would want to pressurize the entire air tract including the intake manifold, intercooler, etc.
So this brings me to a few questions:
1) Is there a point when all 12 intake valves (on FT) are closed?
2) Can air pressure (during a boost leak test) press down on the intake valves enough to open them slightly?
3) Can i hurt anything (possibly the wastegate actuator?) by feeding compressed air into the turbo inlet?
4) Anything else i should consider during a test like this?

I can't comment too much on that method as I've never tried, but something I've used before to find vacuum line leaks, was with a smoke machine. I removed the air filter and sealed the intake, and fed smoke through one of the vacuum lines. Doesn't take long before the smoke comes out of wherever there is a leak. Only caveat is if the leak you're seeking for only opens up under positive boost pressure, then it may or may not show.

1) To my knowledge, there is no point where all intake valves are closed unfortunately on an i6 motor (and i4). This shouldn't be a problem as when the intake valve on a cyl is open, the exhaust will be closed so you can still pressurize the system.
2) Unless you are using extremely high pressures, there is no chance of this happening. I do not know what the limit is but considering there are people who run 25+ psi boost, I would use that as a safe limit.
3) Same as above
4) If you aren't getting good results with pressurizing tests, I would consider trying the smoke test, I found it works very well and you can visually see where the leak(s) are.

Can you hear a whistle?

Block the tires and have someone put it in reverse hold the brakes tight and give it some fuel peddle. Get a bottle of soapy water and spray down all the turbo charge pipe, connectors, mani, intercooler. Anything that sees boost..

Where it’s leaking boost you will see bubbles.

connect a pvc cap to the turbo inlet, drill a hole in the pvc cap and connect it to a regulated air supply (leak down tester works) or smoke machine. use smoke or compressed air. you don't need all the valves to be closed you can still build up 2 psi or so and thats enough to find the leak. smoke machine is preferred. pretty short intake tract on a 1hdt should be easy to find the leak.
