I'd like to convert my 1fz carb to a efi version.

Does the components just swap over or is there modifications that need to be done and if not what components would I need?

Hello,

It is possible but requires a lot of parts and wiring.

The 1FZ-FE's engine block is different from the 1FZ-F. So are parts like the intake manifold. It might be possible to replace the manifold and modify the 1FZ-F's block to fit 1FZ-FE parts.

The EFI setup requires an ECU and its associated wiring harness. It is also necessary to replace the fuel filter and the fuel pump.

Parts are available. They are not cheap, however.

I would look for some aftermarket fuel injection. It would be a lot cheaper than tying to create Toyota's handiwork
