Hello,

I desperately need to find at least two 67-72 (Pre 9/72) Pistons and rings for a 1F engine but will buy the full set if that's all I can find. If have them or know someone that might, please let me know.

Thanks!!!

I wonder how much a re-sleeve would run on one of these old engines. Then you are back to STD.
My mechanic is talking about re-sleeving but one of the issues I think we run into is having to replace some of the other parts to fit the standard sizing we'd gain. In the end, if I can't find the .030 over pistons and rings, I may have to look at that option. I'm seriously hoping that @Okie_dave can come through. I found that guy on Instagram that stocks hard to find parts and has them but his price is double. At this point, I'd almost rather just get a different engine and be done with the issues with this 1F but I'm trying to stay on budget.

Gotcha. I think I know the guy you are talking about. He's out of the UAE or middle east? Lot's of good hard to find NOS parts, and he knows it!

Yup, that's it. binmahmoodstores or something like that, out of the Middle East. Nice guy...and you're right, he knows what he has and his prices reflect it.

I got your messages, but didn’t call you back because all I remembered having on the shelf were .020 over, same as the other vendors.
A little light bulb went off in my head a little while ago, and I did some poking around.

Run the number yourself to confirm it. It was in a box marked .030.

Just one.

There is a set of rings for the piston in the box. Grant. They say .030.

Thanks for replying, @65swb45, it's much appreciated. I may be wrong here but when I run the number for 13104-60011, I'm seeing that corresponds to .50/020mm piston [3/69-1/72]. The one I'm seeing I need is 13106-60011 [3/69-1/72], which is .75/.030mm. Again, I may be incorrect here. If those rings are .030, I'd definitely be interested in them. Do they have any sort of packaging on them that says a part number?

Nevermind. My bad. Just went back there to tear down another carb and looked inside the box. Rings are 020. I am remarking the box in case this comes up again…in the next 25 years!🤦🏻
