I have a 1999 land cruiser with rear locker. It was rear ended and bent the frame. I have the option of totalling it and keeping the vehicle. What parts are worth parting off of this and what kind of prices am I looking at. Or would it be better just to let it go?
You mean the insurance will do both. I think I would total it and get a new/ used one and buy the totaled one form the insurance if cheep enough. Then sell off the parts.
PS I need the passenger seat assy.
What color is you rig?
DMX
If you have possession of it now, there's a couple of parts I need that the insurance company wouldn't miss...let me know if you're interested in selling a couple things. (or if you end up keeping it to part)

Oh man! Where were you last week when I needed a Diff?
Miles? Color?
As far what it's worth in parts? You should find someone in the area to buy what they want and come remove it themselves, or you'll be tearing the thing apart in your driveway. Or sell the thing as is to a fellow Cruiser owner.
Part it! I have a # of parts I would need from you, such as:
1. 3rd member from rear axle,
2. 5 of your wheels
3. Dash switches
4. Odds & ends.
You could probably get VERY good money for the engine + ECU too. Quite a few people would jump at getting a 2UZ-FE into an 80 series. Someone also was looking for the front diff assembly a little earlier too.
Hey Gary - assuming it has tan interior, I need the rear carpet (trust me it's in better shape than mine) and the rear "stops" for the tailgate. Oh, the headlights too (if you end up buying it).
You can PM me or email tade_f at hotmail dot com. Thanks.
I might be interested in the rear axle. I'm just not sure if I want to go to Arkansas to get it and I'm sure it would be difficult to ship it. Depends on how much you'd be willing to sell it for.
Insurance decided not to total it. I got an email last night offering to buy it complete and I sold it. It is going to a very good home. Thanks for the interest.
