Hello - my Hiace was rear-ended in January and my provincial insurer finally has come through with a settlement. I need to move on to other things, so I am selling the repairable salvage. It runs well, but the rear door is bent to heck. the back bumper needs replacing too. Occsionally similar doors comes up on Yahoo Japan used auto parts - a complete door was quoted to me for $3300 which inlcudes the shipping here to Winnipeg. No new parts available. The frame is not damaged.

I can only sell it in Canada. The US won't allow it to cross the border. I will NOT part it out. Buy the whole thing for the engine and transmission. Fix that hilux surf sitting in your garage.

Here's the low down on the vehicle: 1999 KD-KZH106W - four sun/moon roofs, electric curtains. Still has Japanese radio. Front fan only works on high. Separate rear air and heat controls.

117,000 kms. Timing Belt changed at 108,000 kms. Turbo diesel pulls good. Automatic transmission was rebuilt 1000 kms ago, after the torque converter seized. Seven Oaks Transmission in Winnpeg did the rebuild, Just over $5000.

It seats 8. The second row can be turned around. Not rust. Recent oil change. Snow tires.

Manitoba Public Insurance says it can be repaired, and relicensed after repair and body integrity check. I don't know what your province would say.

It was produced in January of 1999. In January of 2024, it could be sold into the States.

Asking $8500. OBO Come and drive it home.

Forgot to say, the back door lights - stop, signals, reverse - all work. The door is closed, but not all the way, so the "door open" light is on. I don't want to risk trying to close it completely. Can't open from the outside.

Daytime running lights installed.

No autobody shop would look at it, so the evaluation/poking around had to be done by the shop guys at Manitoba Public Insurance.

Also, the plastic guard under the front of the van was reinstalled. I just took some pics of what the transmission guys did.

Happy to say my insurer came through with $19, 250. It's gone to part heaven.
