1999 LX Antenna removal

Sorry all, but I've been here over an hour looking for a thread on the 99 LX 470 antennae removal, I couldn't find any so here we go!

Antennae was broke when i bought vehicle home. So bought new antennae, took off chrome retainer, removed old antennae and rubber grommet, but cord was broken off. Now i believe cord is in motor. :whoops:
But how do I get to it? Antennae is close to firewall so my gut tells me its behind glove box!

Will put car back in garage have afew 's and wait for responses!

I replaced mine on my 4 runner once. The plastic mast cord was broken like yours. You just have to open the motor cover and take the pieces out. I removed the plastic wheel well cover to acess it on the 4runner - not sure if its the same on the LC?

Were you searching for "antennae"?

Try spelling antenna without the "e" at the end when you search.
