1999 100 front door corner tweeter replacement options

one is pushed in and every other speaker is replaced except these stock tweets. I hate to pay 75 dollars or more to get another oem,

has anyone found a good after market fit or is it too difficult the way they're mounted on a small bracket?

Is it behind that little tweeter panel in the corner of the door like it is on the 2003’s? If so it’s cake. Pull that plastic piece off you’ll see the tweeter bolted onto a metal bracket bolted on the door. Remove bracket, swap tweeter and put back together. If your using factory amp buy tweeters that match impedance of amp. Ugh, just remembered Landcruiser factory amp is 2ohm I think. If you got an lc, you can use something like these 3 ohm. Not 2 ohm but manufacturers stopped making them

If the impedance is 8ohm(lx470) I think, you have more options

Yeah but how do you attached those to the bracket

tweeter sets come with mounting cups. Nut and bolt tweeter cup to bracket and then pop tweeter in cup

I bought JBL replacement speakers for a 2004 LC. The front door tweeters are about 1/4" deeper than the factory units due to having to add the threaded mounting cup.
