Not to be a beat down...but if I was considering buying DT headers (again) and a resident of California/CARB state I'd wait until said CARB certificate was beyond "pending" and in hand.

Excuse me for saying this for the umteenth time but DT said, two years ago, the CARB certificate was "pending" I guess some might say I'm being a little like dog s***...get a little on ya and the smell never goes away

I am a California resident and already bought the headers, which are great by the way. I have not been able to pass smog and need to remove them in order to register my vehicle. I have not been able to fix this issue due to unforeseen hardships.

For what it is worth, in a previous posting by Doug Thorley headers, the issue with CARB was acknowledged and Mike said he would do everything he could to right this wrong. He did what he could and my request was shot down by the General Manager. While Mike did what he could, I did not feel that his manager did not was so inclined to back him up. I do not fault Mike for this, I appreciate all he was able to do.

The moral of the story is if you are a California resident, it is BUYER BEWARE. I love the headers but I am not a fan of the company.

Doug Thorley headers and Mike, I think you would be doing yourself a favor as well as those on this board by mentioning in your post that your offer is not street legal in California. When you receive your CARB certification, then you can offer your product for sale in California. Additionally, please do not offer to 'go to bat' on behalf of negatively affected customers if you are not really willing to do so.

In my mind, your mention of CARB certification as pending is misleading at best based upon past and present experiences of some on this board who have purchased your product.

Please do with this post what you will.

To correct your ad, I would add the following:

These headers are not yet street legal in the State of California. However, certification may be pending.

What you have posted now is not too far off in form from the ad I responded to posted by your predecessor.
