I hate to do this, but the time has come to sell my beautiful 1997 LX450. This is BY FAR the cleanest specimen I have ever seen in person and is probably only rivaled by some of the ones on this site cared for by the best LC enthusiasts in the country. My twins are now 16 years old and I can't stomach the thought of letting them destroy this awesome vehicle. Here are some details:

- 194k miles. I bought the car from a Land Cruiser collector who treated this like an absolute baby. Before he sold it to me, he did things like the axle seals, A/C, hoses, brakes etc. When I purchased it at about 160k, I baselined all the fluids, upgraded the tires, new antenna, center diff switch. I even had any burned-out dash lights replaced, so literally every little thing works like it did when it left the factory. I even replaced the pieces on the roof rack because the paint was faded. The A/C is amazing! better than all of my much newer cars. There are no fluid leaks as my garage floor and driveway will attest to.
- Southern Car: Although it currently resides in Ohio, where I have been very careful to avoid rust, it comes from down south. The guys at the Toyota dealership where the service is done always drool over the great condition of the undercarriage and the car in general. i looked under a 2015 LX 570 today that had 30k miles -- This 20-year old LX 450 looks better. The paint is perfect and there are very few physical imperfections on the outside.
- Never off-roaded: This car has never been off-roaded, which will be obvious as soon as you see it. You will not have any of the associated concerns to deal with. It does not have the lockers, which might be a good thing since it gives you more confidence that it has been a street vehicle. Plus, you can start from scratch if you want lockers. I do use four wheel low every so often on gravel roads or other soft surfaces, just to keep that system fresh and operating perfectly.
- There are two imperfections I can think of. The drivers seat is worn similar to others of this age, and a spring fell out of the latch for the hood, so when I close it, I currently have to move a latch manually before I close it. I will probably replace the 99 cent spring before I sell it.
