This is your quote "I have posted under several handles over the years" Why? It seems shadey to me. Why would you change your name on here unless you are avoiding a reputation? You are rather defensive for a guy who posts dumb comments on other peoples ads.......................just saying.....

For one reason or another, I have changed email addresses a couple of times...Plus, sometimes I forget my handle if I have been away for a few months or so...Unlike some, I have a life outside of internet message boards.

I am not defensive at all...I love Cruisers, always have...Especially the ones that pay me $3300 profits in 2 days.

I am REALLY looking for an older locked trail rig...Guess the soccer mom route is the best way to find that one though.

Yup definately just gave dealers a worse name especially on an lc forum I have three things to point out:

One , yes he has a life outside of the board( dont we all )
Two, his life is ripping off lc owners by getting a good deal and then PROFITING 3300 as he says in 2DAYs

and THREE
I know this is chatty but weather or not he sold this , this guy is a total tool here it is listed for 9k a couple months back with the exact same pictures

https://forum.ih8mud.com/vehicles-trailers-sale-wanted/202747-97-lx-450-141k-charlotte-nc.html

wow what a douche welcome to mud ass hole :flipoff2:

:ban:

Well said

Yeah, I offered the guy $8200 and he he refused. The owner wanted $8600. I walked away from the deal. I then started calling folks whom had listed LCs for sale in Charlotte and that guy said the same things I said about the LX, but he offered the owner less then I had. Oh well buyer beware. I feel good walking away from that deal.

Its sold guys, really...let it go...No sense beating yourselves up over it.

I am so glad some of you genius and savy buyers passed on the deal...

First, you don't have a clue what they are bringing at dealer only auction WITHOUT the mods...2nd, you'd rather find an off roading 80 all dolled up...waxed, tire shined, armour all'd THEN buy it?

Please...Don't confuse the pricing on this forum as reality folks. Believe it or not, but not everyone who drives these have been to this site...I had it priced cheaper than mosty others on autotrader.com WITHOUT the mods.

I made $3300 in two days and still sold it 2k back of retail...Win/win.

Move along guys...nothing more to see here...Thanks for passing.

$8300 bought it btw...$8380 looks like a totally different rig...But not everyone can expect this to happen...I have been dealing cars/Cruisers a long time.

Slow down turbo

1) I was putting out info that I thought others on this site would find it truthful and informative

2) If the vehicle looks and smells like crap, more than likely other issues may present themselves later due to the lack of maint.

3) I don't hate on someone making money

4) That LX wasn't worth $8k much less $11K by KBB or Black Book (YEAH I KNOW) been doing this a while as well

5) That same week I found 12 LX/LCs in NC, SC for less than $9k

6) Shall I continue!!!!!

7) Got it.... it's sold just trying to keep it REAL

I'm not sure name calling and your tone is a good business practice for future sales?

Do you?

I can forgive a mistake but not a arrogant, pompous shtty attitude. After viewing your threads I would not do business with you. Glad you made some money but it was at the cost of your reputation.:bang:

1. You obviously dont have "insider info"
2. Mechanically, the thing is solid...not that you are a mechanic.
3. Good
4. I call your bluff...What is the mileage adjusted Black Book value (its acually in the grey book of vehicle 2000 or older...then realize that the grey book doesn't have mileage adds/deductions

5. PM me all of these so I can take them all to the sale and get PAID
6. You probably shouldn't keep talking about things you know nothing about
7. This vehicle was worth 11,600 to somebody...thats as real as it gets

After you fall short of completing this list, then tell me why your numbers don't add up to ACTUAL AUCTION SALES like these:

02/20/08 CADE Regular $9,700 94,396 Avg BLACK 6G A Yes
03/13/08 CHICAGO Regular $10,050 101,167 Above BEIGE 6G A Yes
02/27/08 ALOHA Regular $8,900 106,913 Avg GOLD 6G A Yes

03/12/08 KC Regular $8,500 150,404 Avg TAN 6G A Yes
02/19/08 LOS ANGL Regular $9,300 153,460 Avg TAN 6G A Yes
03/11/08 LOS ANGL Regular $8,500 155,051 Avg WHITE 6G A Yes
02/21/08 MANHEIM Regular $8,600 157,507 Avg BLACK 6G A Yes

Then realize these sales are of vehicles that more than likly did NOT have 2000-3000 worth of MODS...I paid 8300, and it had a 12,500 lbs winch and OME kit as well as some other stuff.

Determining a true value requires much more than reading some outdated book.

OK sparky - check the attitude. You are costing yourself business. I'm glad you made a couple of bucks - good for you - really. Don't gloat though - it tells a lot about a person. Best of luck to you.

I have been under attack from the get go here...As far as losing business? I stay plenty busy already...Besides, this group doesn't need any help, right?

I act as a buyers agents and take people to the auctions with me for a small fee...This site is good for finding Cruisers to buy, not to resell.

What do you have to gain by telling everyone how much you are making? Why would you shoot yourself in the foot? I think in some way you just want to feel justified and be right, hence posting all the previous maintenance history to somehow prove your point. Look, if making $3300 in two days isn't enough, then don't keep posting here, you are not making any more friends, and by continuing to post, you are just proving that point; besides, if it's just about the money, haven't you already had the last laugh?

I'm not trying to attach you - just point some things out. From what I have seen on MUD if MUD members think someone is hiding something in a sale they will jump to protect potential MUD buyers. Some people here don't like flippers - personally I don't care. You can take the flipper-hating up with others.

Everyone on this board gets along pretty well - especially outside of Chat. You are not going to be successful selling rigs on MUD if you keep up your current attitude - this is my belief - take it for what its worth. Again I wish you the best but you might want to reexamine your approach if you wish to stay on MUD. Trust me on this one - if you post up another Cruiser for sale on MUD soon you will see a similar reaction.

Anyways - PM me if you are ever in upstate SC - I'll buy you a .

I really try to stay out of this kind of issue but feel compelled to chime in on a couple of points...

You are not doing yourself, or anyone else, any favors by boasting about the amount of $ you made on one particular deal. Everyone needs to make a living, but the perception here is that you are rubbing everyone's face in it...not the way to generate new business.

Things (particularly vehicles) do tend to sell at lowere prices on MUD than to the general uninformed public. That being said, if you wish to advertise a vehicle for sale here expect the folks to do their homework and reply if they think you are out of line. Don't get a thin skin about it...just accept it. Anything is only worth what someone else will pay for it.

Now can we all play nice together?

BTW...I would really like to find a like new Troopy diesel with no rust and low miles, built, for under 10k so if you run across one.....

1. You obviously dont have "insider info"
2. Mechanically, the thing is solid...not that you are a mechanic.
5. PM me all of these so I can take them all to the sale and get PAID.

1. so, what's the insider info?
2. are you a mechanic?
5. why would you expect him to help you...he obviously thinks you're an ass.

clear things up

This dude LandCruiserWNC is a tool bag. I did check this vehicle out. I did find quite a few things wrong. I used the Series 80 checklist provided by this website.
I guess rebuilding a 428cj Torino, 351c Ranchero, 289 Fairlane and a 78 F100 4x4, doesn't make me a mechanic, but I did stay a Holiday Inn Express last night.

I priced the LX on KBB at $8250 rated fair at best. Not including the mods. I was discourage by the appereance, so I overlook that suff. When my wife refused to get inside the LX was a very good indicator how nasty the truck was. The front bumper had been damaged, the running boards were rusted out. The tailgate and left side had at least 5 dents (I quite counting). The hood had been damaged. So that was just a few of the things, there were many more isssues. That is how I came to my conclusions.

Hey why don't you give me your dealer address so I can learn from an expert like yourself. Your true colors are coming out and I believe your fan base is growing. Keep up the good work.

I guess 11 year old 140k off road vehicles are supposed to be perfect...Have you tried calling the used car factory?

Tell me more about Black Book values...You left that part out...I am calling your bluff.

And by the way, KBB is a dealers best friend...some are too low, most are too high...Funny how an $80 detail and a bug shield can take a rig from fair to good...then add the mods and there you have it.

People worry most about the things that mean least when buying a car...I determine value by what I can take it to the auction and sell it for tomorrow.

I realize I have come off as an ass and made a crucial no-no in relisting it here...I meant no harm, just trying to maximize profits and put some more eyes on it.

I will be glad to assist any members in the NC, SC, VA, TN, GA area in buying vehicles at wholesale...Not just LC's...Pay what I pay, plus a fee ( $399 in most cases)...No license needed, just bring cash and meet me at one of many dealer-only auctions...I am serious...Plus, I am not an ass in person.

Sorry I got defensive when you guys started bashing me (I deserved most of it)...

But do not be confused...I am, and always will be, a Crusier Head.
