1996 Toyota Land Cruiser- $5100
It is time to part with my 1996 Land Cruiser, I got a 1996 LX fixer upper, so I am letting my beloved and individualized 1996 LC go. It is a Southern truck with no rust on the frame or anything like that. That is a major plus. There are no lockers, which if you aren't really rock crawling or using it to build, you won't really need. I have driven them with and without and can say that only the most extreme of situations require them, which one rarely encounters...I digress.
Anyway, the bad first. Leaks oil from the valve cover gasket, oil pan arches, and maybe a few other places. It isn't horrible, it will mark its territory, but not like a sieve. The right rear tail light and quarter panel have been 'individualized' by a tree. Not too bad, but some red tape and a dent let you know the tree won. The driver's side seat is cracked in the middle (all other leather is good). It needs an alignment. The CEL is on for P401/402, fairly common and easy to fix with a bypass or a sawz-all. The LC was involved in a front end collision on the passenger side in 2004, no air bag deployment and I have all repair records and pictures.
The good, a rust free rig. Fairly new 285 Nitto Terra Grappler's, a good tire btw. Doesn't leak from the sunroof or anywhere (which my LX does something fierce). No HG issues, front knuckles are in good shape, no ticking or anything. Drives like a dream and runs excellently. I know that the bad is longer than the good, but I like to be up front about the little stuff, and well, I figure everyone here knows the good of Land Cruisers or you wouldn't be looking at it
.
So anyway, that is the car in a nutshell. It is a reliable, dependable, and great truck that needs a new and loving home. So for $5100, it can be yours too and you can help me fund stripping out and turning my LX into the off road bad ass rig it deserves to be
.
Call me at 334.462.5868, PM me, or email me at mjl132@gmail.com. The truck is in Hoover, AL. I'll be glad to email more pictures or anything like that.
