I rolled my 1996 Black FZJ80 it has almost 142000 miles and was in great condition before my accident. Everything works and is RUST-FREE , which says alot about a garage kept truck from Chicago. It has lockers, no-lift and was not wheeled at all. The only time it spent off road was to go down a gravel road . I don't have the money to get it fixed and can't part it out because of storage problems. The truck is currently located about an hour south of Chicago.

Asking $4,000.00 O.B.O.

Put a tarp over it to keep the elements out of the interior, so it will not ruin it.

X2 on that. Glad you are OK...It looks like the 80 did its job to protect you and whoever else might have been in it.

that thing looks rather totaled esp. with the A-pillars bent.
I don't think anyone will take the responsibility/liability of fixing those back to road legal condition. the state will probably not OK it either.

Can you just get it pulled back straight enough to put a lexan windshield in it and use it for a leather seated luxury tractor around the homestead.

Wish you were closer...but then I do not need anymore big projects. The :princess: CEO/CFO has spoken on that issue

I would be interested to know more details on the cause of the roll and at what speed your were traveling. Rolling is my worst fear in my 80.

I would be interested but don't have that much $ to spend... especially since I'd have to ship it here. If no one else bites and you can bargain with a broke bloke, I'll be around!

Thanks!

K

Is it still run-able? Has the headgasket been changed?

I'm possibly interested - PM me & see if we can put something together - I'm in WA so if car haulers won't take a wrecked rig onto their trailer then that's the only thing that would kill my interest.

Does it roll in a straight line if a car hauler can winch it on? Will 4 tires hold air?

It is somewhat amazing that the Cruiser suffered that much damage and the air bags did not deploy. Glad you are ok.

I was traveling about 55 mph when during a lane change I hit black ice. I rolled onto the drivers side on the snow covered grass on the side of the road then onto the roof. It was a slow roll and I didn't roll on the pavement.

Seeing it this weekend...might be buy/part-out once I've taken what I want...

So whats the update on this, did it sell, parted out?

He Lee,

Sorry things never worked out with me getting that motor from you way back when...instead of just a motor, it looks like I'm getting a whole truck ;-)

I'm buying it and mostly taking the motor and trans. Then it will be parted, not sure 100%, but about 94.8% certain the axles are spoken for already (my truck is locked so I don't need em).

I'll get a thread up then comes time to part her out.

Update...truck is in my possession...it will be parted out. The axles are still already spoken for as far as I know. I'll start a new thread when I'm ready to begin parting it.

If you are local, and want the engine PM me. One more time, PM me, don't post in this thread. The engine might be good, truck was rolled and shut off right away, but in 5 minutes of messing with it, I failed to get it running. I'll put more time into getting it running in the next few weeks. But as it's winter, and I snowmobile, and don't like working on cars in the cold, not too much will be happening anytime soon, unless someone wants the motor badly.

If you want the engine, I'll need your motor however. So this pretty much limits this to local peeps. And I will only take a 1995-97 motor preferably with a rod knock, and complete too...injectors to oil pan.
