It begins-

1996 80 with around 141k on it, the truck got rolled and spent an hour or so with the rubber side up. Body is pretty well trashed, motor and driveline are good, interior is mostly decent, PO was however a smoker. And yes, it's covered and not filled with rain water.

I will offer the engine for sale, however, I really plan to keep it for myself, just thought maybe there is someone nearby who would want it. Initially the truck wouldn't start; which is because it had about two quarts of oil that had made it into the combustion chambers. Pulled the plugs, made a big mess, truck started right up-drove it approximately five miles with no windshield, tranny works well, engine runs like a 1FZ should.

Last part-out I did on the honor system and it worked almost 100% perfect. So we'll try again, please post in the thread what you'd like and I'll do my best to respond as fast as possible.

Please keep in mind you're paying for a service, I'm not all that interested in pulling parts for $2 here and $6 there and then shipping them to you. If you're local, come one come all, for the $1 and $2 items, but pulling them, boxing them, shipping them across the country can be just a little too time consuming for me. Sorry guys :-( I already have a full-time job.

  • Engine $675, if you want it you have to supply your core, ideally I'd like to hear it run first (your core)-again, locals only for reasons or practicality-see video here:

  • Axles, rotor-to-rotor, front and rear only, no parting out a part stuff either, dash switch, harnesses, $1,600-and I really really REALLY don't want to eff with shipping. Moreover, they will be the last thing pulled from the truck...it's difficult to move a truck around that has no axles ;-) Short video here of the dash lights with the diffs locked:

That is a coolant leak at under the core-support. Something got busticated when the truck flipped over, dunno what. Like I'd said earlier, put about five miles on it sans windsheild and it ran fine. Coolant did need to be topped off before I drove it, and then it was leaking...drip...drip...drip...drip after.

To sum up the things I'd like to keep for myself-

  • Engine-
  • Seats (just until mine are recovered however), rear jumps seats are for sale however!
  • Trans/x-fer
  • Dome lights
  • Wheels-
  • ***Cats/muffler***
  • ***Rear gate glass***

That's all I can think of at the moment, but will update when other things pop into my head.

The antenna was wiped out. Whether the motor is good or not I'm not certain of. So let me know if you want just the motor sans mast.

Power steering pump won't be off for a little bit...but you're welcome to it, let me see what "fair" pricing is. And let me know if you'd like me to check it for any issues. I'm sure you're replacing yours due to something being wrong with it? Let's make sure this one does not have the same problem right!?

Also, the combo switch for the driver's door works fine...it's yours, same deal, let me see what "fair" pricing is.

Can you wait a bit on this stuff? I cannot pull it all today (PS pump) and would rather send you out one box of goodies versus two or three.

You can have em if no one local speaks up...shipping these sounds like a total pain in my ass. Did test drive the thing and there were no birf noises on turns, and they lock in too so you've got that goin for ya...call if you want and we can discuss...

What shape is the rear upper hatch in? I'm local btw.

It's good from my recall...I however I will be taking the glass...I can look more closely at it later....call me this weekend, phone number is in post #3. There is none of the typical window rust that you usually see.

Rear cargo carpet...just the rear if in good shape...
Rear toyota land cruiser emblem over hatch release if not cracked...

To all regarding shipping....let's start with this...shipping will START at $15 for the smallest of things to say Milwaukee....nothing is cheap to ship at this point, plus, I still have to box it up, take to to UPS, FedEx or the post office too.

Also, I will only be available to pull parts, show the truck and pull parts on weekends...and for you local guys, Saturday during the day is usually going to be the best time to meet me...truck is located in zip 60137 locals, right at 355 and Roosevelt road!
