NEW PRICE $3600

Hey guys,
Its not a cruiser ... but my parents want to get rid of their 1996 miata with 101K miles. I've accepted the job of selling it :bang:

From my Craigslist ad:
Good looking 1996 Mazda Miata with 101K miles.

This is a good looking miata with sporty aftermarket rims and a near perfect black interior. It runs and drives great and was hardly driven by its current owners (my parents). The top appears to be in good shape and the battery was recently replaced with a new OEM miata battery. 2 of the tires are new and its fun to drive. It has a 5 speed manual transmission (who wants a miata with an auto anyway!)

I don't see any reason you couldn't use this car for reliable daily driving or as a second car. My parents tell me it gets about 30 mpg too and its cheap to insure.

There are a couple of things I should mention up front although they are small.
- There is a small crack in the windshield. I think one of those cheap repair kits would work. I may even do it in the next couple of days.
- The driver side window rubber seal is messed up. It doesn't seem to affect anything but should be a cheap fix if the new owner wants too. Most people don't even notice it.
- The speakers are not working for some reason. They did when my parents bought the car, but for some reason they do not now???? The CD player is a nice aftermarket head unit and it seems to be fine.
- And lastly, it was in a fender bender about a year ago. No frame damage, just body work. It was repaired and you would never know it had been in an accident.
- The battery needs a jump if it sits for a week or so too.

I owned miatas back in college and they were always really reliable despite my reckless driving behavior. I even had an aftermarket turbo on one of them and it took a lot of abuse with very little maintenance or repair (just the stock clutch burning out from dumping it when I was smoking all those riced out civics and preludes:grinpimp:). They're great cars!

I have it on Craigslist for $4500 obo but since I like you guys I'll give you my low MUD price of $3600 Firm.

not dumping on your thread these are great cars my parents have one but you said it has a new battery, and you also said it needs to be jumped if it sits for more than a week or two? something is not adding up, what is draining the battery?

I'm really not sure. It sat for a month when I went out to pick it up and it needed a jump. I'm wondering if it could be related to the stereo. I'm told the problem started about the same time the speakers stopped working. Electronics have never been a strength of mine. I just know something is causing a slow drain on the battery. The battery is pretty new though! I've been driving it every day and it starts right up.

Bump for the smallest car on MUD.

Bump for a new lower price.

$3600 pays off the lien.

Bump. Turns out they will go lower than their pay off amount. Just want it gone.

$3200 is as low as they can go.
