Hey everyone,
I was at my grandmothers house today (I keep the truck there in her garage) and I went to start my pick up, and it was dead no power to ANYTHING. The truck is as the title states a 1995 NIssan 4x4 SE-V6 King Cab p/u with only 9,200 miles on the clock. It is almost NEVER driven, so for that reason I keep a battery tender on it at all times. Well again it is totally dead, and the light on the battery tender states that it is fully charged? Do battery tenders go bad often? The last time I was at the truck about a month ago all was fine. I did not have time to jump start it today, so I am not sure what is up. ANy ideas?

Thanks,
Zack

did the dash lights come on and no start... or you turned the key and absolutely nothing happened.

Nothing at all, no dash lights, etc. It is totally dead. There is no power at all in the truck.

Okay, I'll bite. You've mentioned this truck plenty of times...why aren't you driving it? It's not particularly desirable as a collector, at least not any more than any other low mileage vehicle. Pull the battery and have it tested, or clean the Notorious Nissan battery connectors.

Well since I live in NJ the metal that Nissan used those years rusts VERY FAST! I love the truck, it is beautiful.

I will check the connections, but they all seemed tight. I will work on it this weekend, and jump start it.

Is it possible that the main fuse blew from hooking up the charger wrong accidentally. Sometimes a charger can cause a surge that can cause weird issues also. Nice looking truck.

So (a year later) what happened? I have this same model truck. It has 77,000 miles on it. The other day the wife went to the dump and shut it off. She called me because the same thing happened. No lights, nothing. I showed up, turned the key and it started right up. Dunno WTF :meh:
