Hello everyone,

Been looking for a Diesel SUV for a while. After viewing a bunch of Patrols I found a 94 J70 I think that is what is called, Portugal is called VX3000 all this names I still have to learnl . Car was found in Portugal, 2 owners around 200K miles and moslty original

Last week due to a family emergency, everything is ok now, drove the J70 for 4 days

I never had driven a Toyota diesel and after putting over 200 miles on it while was in Portugal I finally found something that I am happy with it. I am in love with the 3L diesel , no smoke and that turbo really helps driving down the road. Truck is all original besides a little lift , and someone put some oversize tires that rubs when you turn. I am thinking of keeping the extra maybe 4" lift but I think tires are just too wide for it . I will see when gets here.

I am hoping to have the car move from Lisbon to OPorto soon then will be shipped with 3 others cars that we got .

Pretty cool truck!

So is this already a for sale tread or are you planning to keep it ? Can't go wrong with a KZJ7x just make sure the head has already been replaced , Toyota extended the warranty on the heads up to 10 years as long as the cruiser had the original owner in Europe.

Thanks I will ask the seller if he knows if the head been replaced . The Toyota is a keeper , I had a 90 G Wagon for a while but it had no AC and I was just using in winter. After I sold it I been looking for a replacement, wanted little bit more power and a truck wiht AC , the toyota was a really nice upgrade , I hope to have the Toyota in USA by January but is not for sale.

This is a pretty sweet truck. I drive both the SWB 70 and LWB 77 right now (I also did own a MWB 73) and nothing really beats the SWB platform such as yours for driving in the US and I can only imagine the coil front suspension really makes it better.

KZJ has coils all around , it is the next generation of the LJ/Prado series

Hello everyone

This one is a keeper :p

What a amazing little truck , good power , parts are brutal to get but not impossible

So far I did a major service on it , all filter replaced ,oils , new front brakes , swap front bearing and same time I told mecanic to swap the hubs to manual , but I still chasing a white smoke problem that its driving me crazy, it never did it in Portugal but since day one I got the truck in the USA I get a white smoke cloud.

No over heating
Injectors been balance , 2 were bad and replaced , engine starts well no smoke white or black and runs really quite now.
Timing belt replaced and timing is set as spec , we got the manual for the 1KZT engine

Hard to explain the problem but for exemple when I pull second gear lets say up to at 3500 rpm, under load ( no smoke ) but if I let go the gas pedal and apply the gas just a little it makes white smoke mostly on second gear , it got better with injectors replacement but still do it

also the turbo feels like is kicking around 3K rpm is that normal for this trucks ?

Couple pictures now with 10k extra miles already in the USA
