I created a previous listing for this Cruiser, which I am selling for a friend, but now that I've really gone through it top to bottom, I figured a fresh listing would be best. Current mileage is 210,677.
This is a FZJ80 Land Cruiser in very good condition with factory electronic locking differentials. Fully loaded with leather interior, third row seats, ABS, cold A/C, power windows that work properly, sunroof, etc.... Also has a newer Kenwood stereo with complete iPod/USB connectivity. Valid California smog certificate in hand!
This truck has been well cared for--maintenance and repair records going back about 10+ years are included. It has never been modified and barely ever used off-road (if at all). The truck has spent the vast majority of its life in southern California, and is completely rust free. It was registered for a couple years in Montana, but still kept and used in SoCal (as service records demonstrate). Originally purchased from Keyes Toyota in Van Nuys, California.
Documented maintenance/repair items from the last 50k miles: new radiator, new fluids throughout, new PHH, new power steering pump and hoses, new oil pan gasket and seals, new valve cover gasket, new air filter, new front axle and differential seals, new O2 sensors, new EGR vacuum switch valve, new heater control valve, new floor mats, etc...
Overall, this Cruiser is an excellent example of the FZJ80 breed with the sought-after lockers. The truck starts, runs, drives, and shifts great. It tracks, steers, brakes, and absorbs bumps exactly as it should. Lockers engage properly. The body and paint are in very good condition with no dents or missing/broken trim. Some paint is worn off the ends of the front bumper and there is minor clear coat peel on the front passenger wheel flare, but that is all. Tires have significant life remaining.
The only other issues with this truck are as follows (it is almost 20 years old, after all). The front leather seats are worn and have a significant amount of seam separation. I am currently seeking better used replacements, but for now they have some pretty nice covers. All the power functions work for the front seats, except fore/aft. I have the new version Gamiviti kit to fix this, but am holding off on installing it in case I find better seats altogether. Also the radio antenna works well but doesn't retract the last 2 inches. A few minor dash bulbs are out--some LEDs in the Climate Control panel and the "D" for Drive (affects 90% of 80-series Cruisers). Lastly the turn signal seems to cancel itself early when indicating right--a minor thing you might not even notice at first. Other than these items, this truck is good to go.
No surprises--you will not be disappointed!
