1994 FJ80 high idle (1 Viewer)

My 1994 fj80 ramps up to about two thousand RPM's when I start it. Then will drop to about 1500 RPM's. The RPM's wil stay this way until it warms up. All throttle cables have been removed, inspected, and are all working properly. Any answers?

Sounds like mine, If I remember, The o2's dont get/send a signal till they reach ~600 deg. My only qiestion would be if the idle drops to about 400 RPM's once it gets to operating temp. If it did this you most likely need to clean the throttle body and check other vacc. emission hoses.

Your'e fine!!! It's working properly. Mine does the same thing... i've got 88,000 miles...mine runs perfect.
