I have a 94 FZJ80 sadly for sale.

HISTORY: 3rd owner but I've had it since 1996 at 40k miles. Commute/vacation miles dominate; a lil light offroading in the past but no rock climbing here. 175k miles total. Engine recently blown; all else works. A hose slowly leaked out all the coolant...no engine light came on, the **** thing still ran for a long time and then bammo....crunch, bang-bang-bang, done. My good mechanic inspects and says "let's get a new engine for her, cheaper than rebuilding due to the Toyo parts cost". He also indicated I was a dumbass to let this happen, but we'll skip that lil fact

She also needs a paint job (see below). So in sum, my income fell dramatically in the last couple years due to a voluntary career change for the better, and now I can't really afford to fix and own this rig at this point, SIGH. Family is sad :frown:

LOCATION: Tampa, FL

:D INFO:

- No under-carriage rust: Florida truck (I'm in Tampa area); no road salt so no rust, and not on the coast (no salt spray from ocean).
- Factory lockers
- Old Man Emu heavy suspension - probably 8 years old now.
- ARB Bull Bar w/ winch hole on front, same age as OME, good.
- Tires: Michelin tires 80% rear, 50% front.
- Battery: 1 yr old
- Brake pads: less than 1 year old.
- Replaced radiator at 130k miles
- Front axle complete rebuild at about 120k miles
- Always maintained by dealers per owner manual schedule.
- Upholstery: front seats recovered with vinyl to match leather look about 8 years ago (I dislike leather); rear and 3rd row seats orig. leather good condition (one rear seat has a small tear on the BACK of it though).

:o NEEDS:
1. Engine.
2. Paint: Dark green original paint, which is poor on top -- years of being parked in FL sun took its toll. Various scratches and dents from use on sides. Was in 2 fender-benders about 10 years ago...passenger side front door and front panel are thus not original but fine. Frame is all good.

PICS: rig is stored at mechanic's place right now, I'll add pics later, I need to go there and snap 'em.

PRICE: what do you think its worth as-is, maybe $3k?

It would be a complete and total shame for this rig to be retired to the scrap yard. Jus' sayin'.

Local guys, I can arrange to meet you at mechanic's shop where truck is stored for now. It is in middle of Tampa.
