2nd baby due in December, I've decided to sell our Land Cruiser. This has been our adventure mobile, grocery getter, daycare transporter, etc...
Back story:
I purchased this truck bone stock from a Gentleman in Valencia. He used It as a daily driver but wanted something with better mpg. I drove it from Valencia to Corona without a single issue. I don't have maintenance history/records of the truck. However, Carfax shows multiple maintenance dates at Midas up there. His friend managed the Midas up there so he brought it in often. I cant say if the head gasket has ever been replaced, nor the PHH. Both have been inspected and appear to be healthy.
Over the last few months I've been buying new and used parts to build it up. Here is a breakdown of what has been done:
Exterior:
ARB deluxe bumper with CB Antenna mounted.
WARN M12 winch with synthetic line.
SLEE rear bumper with hi-lift mount option.
ARB full length roof rack.
Kaymar hi-lift and shovel roof mount.
Trail Jack in photos is included. I also have a full length fiberglass shovel I can include.
TPS snorkel connected to factory air box.
The paint is not bad compared to most green 80's out there. I believe a few spots have been repainted. a couple of the flares have some clear coat fade, the diver's door had some clear flake, but I cleared over that section to stop it from spreading. roof is faded. hood paint is great but has a weird texture towards the middle. The rear door on the driver side had a dent, so I purchased a clean matching door from a local Mud member last year. Overall the paint looks good as you can see in the photos. not a showstopper but definitely great for a daily/trail rig.
ZERO rust. She has been a California truck her whole life. The front bumper has surface rust (purchase the bumper used from a man near the beach) but zero rust on the body or frame.
Interior
All dash lights work including "D'' light, diff lock light, abs, etc...All gauges work perfectly.
a/c blows very very cold. heat blows hot. Water valve is periodically checked for efficiency. The face of the a/c button is missing, but the button still works as it should.
**cloth manual seats**. I ditched the broken, ripped leather seats that didn't even move. After lots of searching, I found a front and back set from a 92 to throw in there. I'm also 6'1 so these seats have more leg and head room.
Midland CB radio wired up. I have the antenna mounted to the front bumper, but there is also a secondary cable routed to the back if you wanted to mount the antenna to the rear bumper.
OEM floor mats front and back included, door panels are clean.
Dash is very clean, one tiny crack. Steering wheel clean. All windows, door locks, door panel switches work perfect. no electrical bugs.
Kenwood stereo with USB plug for iphone
Suspension:
OME 2.5'' medium springs.
Manafre front spacers
OEM style aftermarket shocks (about 4,000 miles on them).
Falken Wildpeak A/T tired. 285/75 (33's). Roughly 2,000 miles on them. Still brand new. spare tire is a Nitto 33''
Engine/Drivetrain
Center diff lock dash switch with 7-pin mod.
Front and rear diff breathers
Stock motor
Timing advanced to Australian spec (Lcool spec). Passed smog no problem with this timing just yesterday.
Inline resonator near the back of the exhaust was installed to eliminate highway drone.
spark plugs replaced at 212k
new fluid in both diffs at 212k
new transfer case fluid at 212k
new trans fluid at 212k
new dist o-ring at 212k
ZERO driveway oil spots. some sections may weep a bit, but zero drops on the ground.
Things that I would have liked to replace/repair but didn't get around to yet:
Windshield has a crack up the middle
key works in ignition and driver door but not on passenger side
low idle sometimes randomly
I'm not on the computer all day, so please feel free to text/call with any questions
