(Western NC) Up for sale is the best vehicle I have ever owned for the money. The truck runs and drives GREAT. I bought it for a hunting vehicle, but use it for a daily driver as much as possible. It has made numerous trips from Morganton to Asheville and showed no sign of trouble whatsoever and averaged 18 mpg. on the highway. 5-speed, nearly new 31x10.50 tires, 3" body lift, bed liner, sliding rear window, crank windows, no A/C. Top end of the motor was rebuilt by the previous owner around 10,000 miles ago. Clutch replaced around the same time. The body is surprisingly straight except for a small spot in the passenger-side rear. It has absolutely no rust except for a a tiny bit of surface rust in that same spot. Floor pans have been coated with spray-on bed liner material, so there's no worry about messes. Factory bench seat has been removed and replaced with cloth buckets. It doesn't use or burn any oil. Doesn't leak a drop of anything unless 4WD is engaged, then the transfer case will drip a very small amount. Had it checked out by a mechanic and he said it was a leaky seal and "not worth fooling with" unless I wanted it to be absolutely perfect since it only dripped when in 4WD. The front and rear bumpers are solid steel and will push down a tree without bending.
I recently took it on a camping trip to the Brown Mountain Off-Highway Vehicle Trail System (see pics) and it performed beautifully. Between the V6, strong suspension (hauled a ton of sand in it this past spring) and locking rear-end, it made it all the way around the truck/suv trail without bottoming out, stalling or slipping.
I absolutely HATE to sell this truck knowing how solid it is, but I want to be able to take my wife and 3-year-old daughter with me off-roading, so I'm looking for a Land Cruiser, 1st Generation 4Runner or something similar. I would be interested in a trade if you have something along those lines.
Asking 1,900 OBO. Call me at (828) 443-2701 with questions. Thanks!
