hey guys, new toyota owner and first time to this forum...its a great forum. i just bought a toyota 91 4runner hilux, and for some reason the transmission light, battery light and a/t oil light all come on when i press on the gas while driving and turns off when i off the gas. nothing is overheating and i checked all of the fluids and everything is good. has anyone had this problem?

Sounds like your previous owner was playing merry hobb with your electrical.
There are only 2 places I know where any electrical equipment and the trottle itself could directly "touch" the cruse control wiring, and the ECU.
My guess is a crossover somewhere in the cruise control wiring.. Also, visit a shop, and have them read the ECU when it does this, and see if there are any error codes as a result.

No need to have a shop check the codes, there is a link in the FAQ thread on how to check the codes. I hate electrical gremlins...
