so $385 got a new 1 fitted it , now when the old girl is cold it will run fine , but once the engine temp gets to normal operating temp the engine at idle will climb to 2500 revs by itself even with the accelerator unhooked from the engine , i have spoke to the mechanics that i work with at movie world they told me to turn ignition on & turn parking lights on then unhook the negitive side of the battery leave for half an hour , turn everything off then rehook the battery , still no improvement , i have rechecked all the vacume lines , checked timing , new battery . im out of ideas what to do next apart from calling a mobile mechanic to hook up his computer to it but they want $180 for the 1st hour then $45 for 15mins , can any1 help please
thanks geoff

Clean the throttle body, check the TPS? Just guessing.
